Mackintosh – Kitchens designed and built in Britain

About Mackintosh kitchens

Mackintosh kitchens take their inspiration from legendary British designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh. All of the Mackintosh kitchens are designed and built in the UK and use as many British materials and components as they can.

Mackintosh have three main ranges of kitchens. These are Modern, Shaker and Traditional.

The Modern range from Mackintosh focuses on clean lines and surfaces. It incorporates the ‘Inset’, ‘Intergral’ and ‘Touch’ handle-less cabinets and draws. The range comes in a wide array of contemporary colours and finishes and can incorporate LED lighting, glass shelves and curved worktops.

Shaker kitchens are distinguished by their classic square-framed wooden doors. Although often painted the wooden draws and cabinets doors also look beautiful a painted finish. While Shaker kitchens have a slightly more traditional look their clean lines and simple colours and shapes mean that they can fit easily into a modern home. Mackintosh Shaker kitchens incorporate modern storage solutions and finishing touches that allow you to tailor them to your home.

Charles Rennie Mackintosh was famous for promoting meticulous craftsmanship and excellent design. Our traditional range shares these principles. Our traditional kitchen cabinets come with a vast range of styles, finishes and design features such as raised panels, traditional tongue and groove panelling, cornicing, pelmets and pilasters. Although traditional in style we incorporate the latest storage innovations to create a classic range for today’s lifestyle.
